A clear - non-staining lubricant. A drop on the sewing machine needle will help reduce skipped stitching and the needle friction heat while sewing through heavy material and sheer fabric. Collin's Sewer's aid may also be sparingly applied to embroidery thread or bobbin thread. This makes machine sewing and embroidery smoother. Sewers Aid lubricates the thread guides and tensions as it passes through the machine helping to eliminate skipped or erratic stitches.

Caution: Do not use on machines with automatic thread tension. If silicone gets into the tension assembly it will create problems with the auto tension mechanism.

Hook Wash - Embroidery Machine Cleaner & Lubricant Spray 11oz Can

What is it? - A mineral oil-based lubricant/light solvent mixture used for cleaning rotary hooks and other parts of embroidery machines.

Where is it used? - Hook Wash was created to use in the rotary hook area for quick clean and flush when replacing reciprocators, needle cases, bobbin cases and tensioner assemblies. It is also safe on plastic, electronics and bushings.

When is it used? - Hook Wash should be used weekly as a rotary hook flush and clean. Use as needed when performing tune-ups on equipment.

Why is it used? - The goal of using Hook Wash is to enhance the performance of the machine embroidery process by reducing embroidery thread breakage and bird nesting. This is done by removing dirt, lint, dust, solvy, spray adhesive and other debris that can build up and cause an embroidery machine to be less efficient. Also, Hook Wash will displace water and leave a protective film of light lubricant on the parts.
